For teams who are using SQL Server right now, good news for you! We have just added a new integration that you can connect with right away 🎉

For those not familiar with SQL Server, it is a relational database management system developed by Microsoft. It is designed for the enterprise environment and is used to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications. As businesses grow, so does their data. That's where Decube comes in - it provides data observability, cataloging, and governance capabilities that can help businesses get a handle on their data assets.

Teams on SQL Server will now be able to utilize Decube to:

  • Monitor data quality metrics and detect data issues in real-time.
  • Gain deeper insights into their data assets, including data lineage, metadata, and schema.
  • Understand the upstream and downstream of your data assets with a visualised lineage.

See all your assets in the Catalog

As soon as you connect your SQL Server to Decube, you should configure your monitoring right away so that all your critical tables are covered. I recently published a Loom video on how to configure multiple tables on one page via our Config feature, check it out here

You’ll be able to see all your tables from SQL Server within our Data Catalog as soon as you connect to Decube. From there, you can start to add tags and descriptions to your columns. You can also add classifications such as PII or Sensitive to let your team know which columns are to be handled with additional care. With our newest feature called the Business Glossary, your teams can finally create clear definitions among different business units. And guess what? You can link your SQL Server tables and columns directly to the metric.

By leveraging on this integration, you can unlock greater insights, value, and competitiveness from your data assets. Check out how to get connected to Microsoft SQL Server from our docs so you can get started right away.
